The bubbly beauty queen and journalist Samriddhi Rai will be representing Nepal once again at Miss Tourism Queen Asia in China this month. The pageant is scheduled to take place in Xitang province of China from May 10-18. In 2011, Samriddhi bagged the Miss Personality title at Miss Tourism Queen Asia. Who knows, maybe she’ll get the big crown this year! In an effort to promote Nepali creativity and talent, Samriddhi will only be wearing dresses and gowns designed by Nepali designers. The leading designers of Nepal Tenzin Tseten Bhutia, Subexya Bhadel and Bishwo Gautam will all be worn by Samriddhi during the week-long event. She will also be wearing designs by newcomers Antee Gurung and Mamta Gurung. The make-up and styling guru of Nepal Sakil Kunwar has been hard at work for the past month to prepare Samriddhi for the big event.
